Eric Straw, Ph.D. serves as a member of the Board of Directors and as the Executive Director of Mark 5 Ministries. Eric is an Associate Professor of Business in the Hoff School of Business at Corban University in Salem, Oregon, USA. He has been with Corban since 2002. Prior to Corban, Eric’s work included running his own small manufacturing company, managing IT and telephony services at a large HP campus, and serving in the U.S. Navy onboard submarines. Eric has an undergraduate degree in business, a master’s degree in computer information systems, and a Ph.D. in information systems. Eric has been married to Margie since 1984. They live in Scio, OR and have four children. Eric and Margie are active members at Scio Baptist Church. Jennifer, their eldest, is a missionary with Africa Inland Missions (AIM) in N’Djamena, Chad. Kevin and his wife Sessha live in Salem, OR. Kevin is a programmer/analyst with Oregon Catholic Press. Matthew and Rebekah are both students at Corban University and commute from Scio.
Corey

Corey serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Mark 5 Ministries. He is a fulltime university professor, teaching computer networking, security, and programming. Having a desire to serve the Lord from a young age, Corey studied Greek at the university level so as to be able to read the New Testament in its original language and as a preparation for seminary. He has taught Greek for a number of years at churches and at a Bible College. Corey also has Bachelor’s degrees in Business and Computer Science. Corey’s work experience included being a network administrator of a large organization and a senior systems engineer, designing and installing computer networks for clients.
In preparation for becoming a college professor, Corey received a master’s degree in Biblical studies, a master’s degree in computer information systems, and a Ph.D. in information systems (with a concentration in computer security). Corey and his wife have been happily married for 25 years and live in Salem Oregon.
